She is a distinguished accountant and financial manager with over 20 years of experience in various industries, including finance, hospitality, media, services, and automobiles. Currently, Mary serves as the Deputy Managing Director/Chief Finance Officer at Weststar Associates Nigeria (Mercedes-Benz Nigeria), where she supports the Group Managing Director in providing leadership and strategic direction for the company’s commercial and passenger vehicles. With a focus on cash flow optimization, Mary has played a key role in expansion projects and the Mercedes-Benz truck assembly plant. 

Throughout her career, Mary has demonstrated her ability to successfully deliver financial, general management, and change projects. In her previous roles, she managed financial resources of over £3.5bn for up to 30 business divisions, introducing new finance processes and structures, and delivering over £80m in cumulative savings through the introduction of digital technologies and multi-skilled working. 

Mary holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from London South Bank University and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Warwick Business School. She has earned several Human Resources certificates from the Lagos Business School. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and became a Fellow of ACCA in 2008. 

In addition to her professional achievements, Mary is also a social impact leader and advocate for gender equity and empowerment. She has received the Woman of Merit Gold Award by PSR National Awards and has been recognized as a Woman of Impact by People & Power.
